Watchdog says to block online resources with LGBT content from Sat

MOSCOW, Sep 1 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service will block Internet resources with LGBT content from Saturday if the resource does not delete the information upon the regulator’s demand, the authority’s Deputy Director Vadim Subbotin said on Friday.

“From today the communications service’s order on the criteria on blocking of LGBT content has come in force, from tomorrow we will mute a number of Internet resources if they fail to delete it upon our requests that we will send today,” Subbotin said.

The official called on representatives of the book industry to take a more responsible approach to adaptation to the new legislative realities.
